As an interdisciplinary research center, the C³ brings together theories, perspectives, and methodologies from varied felds, including political science, social and cultural anthropology, history, economics, geography, and more. C³ researchers examine the causes, dynamics, and outcomes of conflict to understand the drivers of political change, the challenges of conflict transformation, and opportunities for peace.
The C³ organizes workshops, seminars, project applications, policy events, and the flagship Bayreuth Peace Talks series. Through these activities, the Research Center also contributes to the University of Bayreuth’s new “Translations and Conflicts” research network.
