The Olive Branch, an association of the University of Bayreuth, invites all interested listerners to join for a critical, public discussion on the situation in Gaza through the lens of international law and Germany's legal responsibilites. Engage with reflections on academic freedom, solidarity, and collective action, grounded in the lived experiences of the panelists. 

This event will take place on May 26, 2025 from 5 to 7 pm at H36, NW III, Bayreuth University. 

Panelists include:

• Prof. Dr. Matthias Goldmann, Chair International Law, EBS University, Senior Research Fellow, Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public and International Law, Heidelberg.
• Prof. Dr. Christine Binzel, Chair of Economics: Economy and Society of the Middle East, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg.
