The Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence at the University of Bayreuth invites students, researchers, and the public to a roundtable discussion titled “Emerging Urban Moralities: The Ethics and Epistemics of Africa’s Urban Age” on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at 4:00 pm.

The event will be led by two members of the UBT Peace and Conflict Research Network, Dr. Biruk Terrefe and MA Benjamin Kirby, and will focus on pressing questions of conflict and (in)security in African urban contexts.

The discussion will take place in FZA 0.22 on campus, with the option to join online via Zoom.
