The 7th Colloquium on Latin America presents a lecture by Carolina Pecker Madeo (Universidad de Buenos Aires – CONICET, Argentina).

Her talk, "State Violence in Mexico: A Situated Analysis from the Social Experiences of Chiapas (1970–1980)", examines forms of state violence in 1970s Mexico through the lens of lived social experiences in Chiapas, connecting structural violence with everyday realities on the ground.

Participation is free and requires no registration. The lecture will be held in English; live subtitles in multiple languages are available via Zoom.
